I had this problem also with gentoo amd64, gcc-4.1.2, glibc-2.5, cs r27919. I updated glibc to 2.6.1, and also cs to r27950 (silly me), and ./walktest now works. I am now unsure whether this was fixed in glibc or cs.

Well, I downgraded to r27919 in the course of tracking down another problem, and it worked. Therefore glibc-2.6.1 fixed this for me.

Is this still valid? There have been a number of relaytool fixes since.

I just happened to get it as well ... --sounddriver=crystalspace.sndsys.software.driver.null seems to work around it.
