For the Google Summer of Code (GSoC) we had a student work on a streaming loader. Basically this task has two parts: first provide a faster binary way to stream in vertex and triangle data from buffers and secondly provide a way to stream that data in a thread. The first task is almost finished but the second one still needs a lot of work. We would already be very happy to have the first part of this task in Crystal Space.
Task status: MODERATE, good design knowedge, no OpenGL, good C++.
